JAUE2012-071: The Trend of the Communities Environmental Improvement of Tainan Area

Abstract

Promotion of community empowerment works for years in Tainan, due to changes of the era and the regional differences, the actions of community empowerment has to be different. The promotion and counseling operation are impacted by both characteristic and the organization of every community. So it's difficult to create a standard model for all communities.
This article will share the experience which the promotion of communities in Tainan city, offer the analysis of relevant experience and discussion of the problem to improve the action and policy of community empowerment in the future.
To promote the project which issues focus in the community environmental renewal, to encourage those communities to participate in training course of "Green Community Empowerment," to propose the community renewal plan for empty or unused land, and to involve in competitions.
Then establish community workshop to discuss the plan.
Finally work out the community environmental improvement project by self-operating methods of local workers and material purchase. During the operation, how to import the system of community planner and teamwork, improved the communication and technology to the communities.
Besides, we will share development experience of two communities, Jin-hwa community and Da-gang community in Tainan City, show the aspects and goals of community empowerment.
