jaue2016119: Basic Research on Response Vehicle’s Speed in Emergency Situation

Abstract

In general, ‘Golden time’ means the most important time for the initial reaction in times of saving of human lives or fire suppression. It is different by the types of accident but in case of fire or emergency, you aim 5 minutes. 
Most of the preceding researches used the design speed or the maximum speed for the speed of the fire truck. However, it failed to reflect the reality that is hard to respond within the golden time due to the trafficvolume increase and the lack of national consciousness for yield to the fire truck.
In this study, we investigated the preceding researches and concluded the problems of the speed value of response vehicles which is entered to analyze the response distance. Also, in object to Daegu, we analyzed the traffic speed and volume in thoroughfares so to provide the material that may be utilized for the set up of the location of the fire service and its sphere.
