Abstract

The response to energy is required as one of the prevention measures of global warming. In construction, in 
particular, efforts are underway by the “Zero Energy House: ZEH” to make the total annual energy consumption of 
housing almost zero. In order to realize ZEH, solar power is the main source, but power generation in areas with 
low solar radiation is inefficient and burdens costs. The purpose of this study is to examine the ideal way of ZEH 
suitable for the regional climate of Tohoku by using the solar radiation amount of regional resources and the other 
climate that is wind speed, and using the power generation method for generating energy. The difference in local 
climate also affects the amount of energy generation. As a result, it is understood that there is a power generation 
method suitable for the region using the local climate, and there was a slight difference in the hot water supply 
energy when using solar heat, so it was clarified that ZEH suitable for the region could be realized.
