According to the National Institute of Meteorological Sciences in Korea, as the global warming phenomenon
has recently intensified in Korea, the average annual temperature has risen 1.4 ଇ to 14.0 ଇ for 30 years.
The rise in temperature in cities not only increases energy consumption but also adversely affects the health of
citizens. In particular, in the urban areas where the amount of greenhouse gas is generated, the importance of
green space is emerging as a method for reducing greenhouse gas. Green area creation and management are
very important to improve urban environmental problems. However, the number of local governments that
have reduced or repealed landscaping standards is increasing. Various studies using satellites have been
conducted to monitor the characteristics of green space and vegetation distribution. However, remote sensing
using satellites has limitations that can only be judged due to limitations in the spectral and spatial resolution
of image data. This study utilizes an unmanned aerial vehicle that is easy to acquire data and has the advantages
of repeated shooting. Based on aerial images acquired through digital cameras, build spatial information on
the site and calculate the green area of the site through unsupervised classification. Green space in the site was
classified based on the constructed spatial information. The resulting Green area in the Raster format was
converted to the Vector format for correction and area calculation. The total area of the site was 34,348 ້ and
the green area was 3277.28 ້. Ground green area was 1659.94 ້ (50.65%), LoadSide Tree area was
1081.58 ້ (33.0%) and Rooftop Garden area was 535.76 ້ (16.35%).
