jaue2016117: A Study on UAV Utilization Plan for Facility Safety Diagnosis

Abstract

While there are various benefits such as access of the area which is difficult to approach directly by human, quick image acquisition, economic merit, etc. compared to existing methods when using the UAV in the facility safety inspection, it is a situation that there is almost no related study. Therefore, this study analyzed the utilization plan as a basic research for the UAV utilization in facility safety diagnosis. To achieve the goal of the study, the technology status of the UAV is reviewed and using this, the limitations in applying the current UAV technologies in facility safety diagnosis were analyzed. Also, the future research work for the UAV utilization in facility safety diagnosis was derived by utilizing analyzed limitations. The limitations of technology and future research work that this study presented are expected to be useful in performing facility safety diagnosis related researches using the UAV by presenting the direction of the study
